It’s that time of year again!

Yes,
our annual pilgrimage to Terra Nova is just around the corner. Join
Newfoundland & Labrador’s kayaking community for a fun filled
weekend. We’ll have trips, clinics, demos and socials and our KNL
Board Monday pancake breakfast. Our Retreat guests have taken the
kayaking world by storm and will make the Victoria Day Weekend with
KNL the place to be.
Freya Hoffmeister is a Greenland-style Champion and has quickly
become one of the most well known instructors in Greenland-style
rolling. She has traveled the world never ceasing to amaze crowds
with her rolling skills.
In 2006, she was instructing at
Sweetwaters/ Florida, Germany and in New Zealand, she had paddled a
3-weeks Expedition along the remote south shore of Newfoundland,
and was successfully competing in the Greenlandic National
championships.

Stamer has 15 years experience using Greenland-style paddles
and equipment. When it comes to strokes and technique, Greg’s your
man. He was overall champion in his age division in the Greenland
championships in 2000. The first ever non-Greenlander to win such
an event. "I have always been attracted to functional,
organic boats and paddles, whether that be a birchbark canoe with a
beavertail paddle or an elegant Greenland kayak".
